The Houston Rockets will waive 39-year-old center Marcus Camby, the Houston Chronicle reported Sunday.
That probably will mark the end of Camby's playing career as he has been unable to make a satisfactory recovery from torn plantar fascia tissue. However, he may remain with the Rockets in a coaching or player development role, according to the report.
Camby is likely to have foot surgery to repair the damage.
Camby averaged 1.8 points and 2.3 rebounds while playing 24 games for the Knicks last season, which was Camby's 17 season in the NBA.
